TWISTER
SIBERIANS Harry
E. Smith III in Arlington, Texas founded Twister Siberians in 1996. In 1995
Mr. Smith and Marie Falconer (owner of Myla Siberians) acquired CH Sunset Hills
Sara Lea. Ms. Falconer was responsible for handling, grooming, and general care.
Mr. Smith provided financial backing to campaign Sara Lea. The combination of a wonderful show dog and a top handler was powerful. Sara Lea blazed through 1996 winning the Breed at Westminster, a Best in Show, and numerous Group Wins and Placements. She finished 1996 as the Number One Bitch in the Breed and fourth ranked overall. The success with Sara Lea resulted in a strong alliance between Twister and Myla that continues. The foundation stock for Twister Siberians has been established based on Myla and Sunset Hills bloodlines. The breeding program started in 1997 with a litter out of CH Kismet's Hey Dude and CH Myla's Nadia. In 1999, Twister Siberians and Myla moved to new facilities situated on 10 acres, about 50 miles northeast of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This new home is Twister Farms. The facilities include fenced exercise paddocks, a purpose-built kennel house with central air conditioning, bathing facilities, and whelping room/office. The farm setting provides an environment where the dogs can run, play, and get noisy!. In other words, they can be Huskies! Twister Siberians is committed to breeding the finest Siberians for show and work. Emphasizing Movement, Type, and Temperament (MT˛), breeding is limited, and very selective.
This approach ensures quality while controlling numbers. The goal is to breed
a very sound dog, capable of working one day and winning in the ring the next
day. With the foundation built, and a disciplined approach, Twister Siberians is positioned to be among the leaders in the Breed. Mr. Smith serves as CEO and part time Kennel Boy. Ms. Falconer serves as Kennel Manager and Director of Breeding and Show Operations. MYLA MYLA, deriving from Mystic Lake Kennels was established in 1978. To many,
MYLA is also known as "My You're Lucky Again ". As a professional handler, Marie
has shown many of the Number 1 bitches in the Breed for more than a decade and
finished more than 200 Champions. Marie's favorite bitches are Silver Blue Brandy CD HIT, a Miuk granddaughter living to the age of 18, and Am Can BIS BISS Ch. Innisfree's Cinnamon of Myla, a Number 1Bitch and Top Producer. With a breeding program spanning more than 20 years, Myla has produced over 50 home bred Champions to date.
